I grew up in Hobbs, NM. My first construction related job was building trailer houses. I then moved to Odessa, TX and ended up taking some welding classes. I then worked for a year and a half at Texas Tank. I then got the opportunity to go to work on a large church remodel in Houston, TX. This job lasted about three months, but was a great learning experience. I then went to Austin TX and worked on a doctor\u2019s burned house for four months. After that job ended I worked on two Sirloin Stockade builds in Chandler AZ and Las Vegas NV. These jobs were three months each.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n I then went back to Hobbs and built my parents a home. I got a lot of good experience from building the house. With very little help on doing all the jobs from cement, to framing, laying brick, sheetrock, drywall, roofing, texture, painting, and wall paper. A friend and I then built a cabin in Cloudcroft, a log house and many other additions and small jobs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We had a hail storm in Hobbs in 1988 and from that I decided to start Nolen Construction. We grew from 1 to 22 employees doing large commercial jobs and residential roofs. Thirty one years later I am only doing residential roofing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n On each job I always go and double check each penetration making sure that they are all sealed.
